Thank You letter- Mrs Wright

Dear Mrs Wright,

My name is Jane and I am from Saint Pius X School in room three.

Thank very much for the new books and I really enjoy reading them all.

My favourite book was called ‘Green Princess saves the day’. That was my favourite book because it tells me how she become a princess and how she saved the day, also other interesting things about her too.

Thank you very much for the book you had given to me I really like reading it. Thank you and may God bless you and have a happy christmas.

Netbook Reflection

In the beginning of the year room three had these little netbooks and each one of us had our own one. Some of us used our brother’s or sister’s netbook from the previous year. When I first got my netbook I was so scared that I might break it. We were all happy to use our netbooks but the only thing we were unsure of was how to use it.

As the year went on we all knew how to use a netbook. Also it helped us with our work online. When you use a netbook your hands don’t hurt that much and it is easier to use a netbook instead of a book.

In room three when you have a netbook you always have to remember to charge your netbook, otherwise it will run out of battery.

In 2013 I am looking forward to moving up a level in maths. Also I will try to be at, not below on my national standards. If I try really hard I will get to above.

2) What was Nermo excited about? Nermo was excited about meeting ComicCat12. ✔

3) How did Nermo get in contact with ComicCat12? Nermo went online and ComicCat12 commented and said that he want to meet him. ✔

4) Explain why Nermo shouldn’t meet ComicCat12? Nermo doesn't know who ComicCat12 is, also Nermo doesn’t know what kind of person he is.✔

5) Why is it important that Nermo is careful about the information he puts online? So he could be safe and not to give too much information about himself.✔

Helping the hungry

Helping the Hungry

1) What is your foundation? My foundation is Auckland City Mission.✔

2) Who do they help? Auckland City Mission helps the people who are hungry and poor people who have no food to eat.✔

3) Where are they based?
hobson St and Otahuhu.✔

4) How do they help?
In every Christmas the Auckland City Mission give clothes to other people who have no clothes. ✔

5) How do they raise their money?Auckland City Mission raises money by Fundraising and donations.✔

6) Why do you think they help the hungry? Auckland city Mission helped the hungry because they had no food for their family.✔

7) Explain how you could help the hungry?
I could help the hungry by fundraising money to the poor people.✔

The Lego story

Once upon a time there was an old man named Oli and he had four son and his wife. Oli started a toy shop with his son Godfrey in 1932 after Olis wife died. The toy shop was called Lego and they made toys out of woods. The toy shop was a family business.

The main characters were Olis four son and his wife and Oli too. Oli and Godfrey loved to make toys for the kids and also so they could have money for their family. One windy night there was an fire in the toy shop and everything burnt down.


After the fire Oli had to build a new toy shop which is called Lego. Oli and Godfrey run the family business together. Soon Oli died and Godfrey had to run the business by himself.

There was another fire in the toy shop so Godfrey had to rebuild Lego. After they built Lego Godfrey thought that he needed an airport also a bigger place to build Lego land. Lego land was all built and they are still going today.

Today room 3 did a typing challenge and I got 36 instead of 49 which is my highest score. But I am still proud of myself.
