Anzac Celebration

Letter to Aurora,Valenisia,Joshua,Folauhola.

Dear friends
This morning we had an wonderful mass celebrating Anzac. We dedicated this mass to those who lost their lives during world war one. After church we all gathered around the grotto. It was unusual for us to gathered around the grotto in an event like this. But we gathered in there because Anzac finally reached its hundredth year of anniversary.

In the grotto there were white crosses. The crosses reminds us of those who fought for New Zealand and lost their lives. We had some people from each class read a few words. Then we all read the poem and sang the National Anthem. We sang nicely and beautiful. From the mass upto the end everything was amazing. We all participated nicely and managed to do it with no fuss.

Yours sincerely.

Hokulea Event

image15.jpeg
This is when we were all getting ready to sing the haka. It was a really hot day. Everyone that walked was really exhausted because it wasn’t a good weather to walk. While we were waiting to sing everyone at the back of me were moving around trying to get air. I felt annoyed with them but I kept still.

Once the canoe came towards us everyone started singing their hearts out. Sadly no one in our school was singing. Everyone was just standing quietly while the other schools were singing. I felt ashamed because we had a lot of hard practices and yet no one was singing. Other than that, the other schools sang really good. They all sounded great when their voices came as one. The people in the front did really great at the haka. Honestly that was my favourite part when they were doing the haka while the rest were singing. In this part of the event I really enjoyed the singing. It was a really great welcoming.

Identifying different type of sentences

During the last few weeks my mum had a family reunion that my family all attend. It was extremely exciting. First I found it awkward because kids wouldn't identifying different type of sentences stop staring at me. Also because I barely know anyone there. Everyone was getting on my nerves, but that’s what family reunion is all about getting to know your family members better.

In writing I've been identifying the different types of sentences . They are COMPOUND, COMPLEX and SIMPLE. In this paragraph the red high lighted sentence is my simple sentence. Then the yellow high lighted sentence is my compound sentence. I am still learning how to make my sentences complex.

Titles of Jesus

These are the different titles of Jesus and this is what I've been working on during R.E.
