On Friday we had a guest speaker who spoke to us about how she become successful. Her name is Michelle, she is a Cook Islander and she works at Niu FM at Manukau City. When Michelle came in the class room we started with our school prayer.
Michelle has two kids and one is a girl and the other is a boy she also has two dogs. Michelle talks loud and she is very funny. She can make funny jokes. She sometimes embarrasses her kids and her mum to people, like telling funny things about them.
At Michelle's work she gets to meet lots of famous people. Also she has to learn how to use all of the things at the radio. She is also a DJ at her work and a radio engineer.
Michelle became successful by studying hard and also working hard and she went to university too. Michelle's mum and dad inspires her to do all these things.

Catholic School Day
Today is the celebration of Catholic school day. We had invited Saint Josephs from Orakei over to have a whole school mass and to celebrate Catholic school day together.
At 11:00 we went to mass and St Joseph was lining up to go to mass too. Also their priest came to mass with Father Ioane, he was his helper for the mass.
After mass we had lunch together with the Saint Joseph kids. We got to take photos with them and also meet them. I had a friend from St Josephs and her name is Nia and she is year five and she is from Tonga. We went and played at the field with some other kids from her school. Then I started asking her questions like "how many kids to you have at your school?" I found out that they only have one hundred and something kids.
After that we went to the hall for singing concert. We had to take turns at singing. They sang Count On Me by Bruno Mars. Then it was room seven's turn they sang Let It Go. After all our performances, Saint Joseph had to go back because their bus was waiting. I waved to Nia and she waved back with a big smile on her face.

Mothers day writing
My mum is from Hasini and she has two brothers and three sisters. Shes got black and brown short hair. She also is a smart and a helpful lady. My mum is kind and a fair lady. In my family she is like the second shortest out of me my brothers and my dad.
Next up my mum likes eating fish. Also watching soccer and the rugby world cup.She doesn’t like eating K.F.C or eating sweet things and junk food.
My mum plaits my hair for school sometimes. She also looks after me when I’m sick and gives me things I need that are important. Next she washes my clothes, cleans my room and tells me what is wrong and right. She also help me with anything when I need her help.
I love my mum because she is the one that is always there for me when I need her.
